And Apple has already made it clear its currently shipping operating system (macOS) that only GPUs that work with its Metal graphics API are supported. NVIDIA has made it clear in their documentation that CUDA will be ending for macOS in its next major version release. Now, this week, we know that this third-party developer was very incorrect in whatever information they believe they had obtained. It turns out this is likely by design by Apple and its pro customers are simply going to need to trust Apple for awhile as things rapidly come into focus with pro apps by leading software developers who are getting behind Appleās Metal 2 and the new Mac Pro. The all new 2019 Mac Pro boasts industry firsts and truly astounding performance headroom but there is no support for NVIDIA CUDA and RTX. ![]()
